AMC Strategic Plan
|
Differentiation StrategyAMC pursues a differentiation strategy by striving for the best customer experience possible.
Differentiation is the main strategy that AMC Theatres is focusing on by providing a better experience for the costumer by having better seating and better quality food embracing the dine in the movie theater option in order to make the customer feel right at home.
AMC Theatres focuses on the chair being reclining in order for the viewer to relax. In addition AMC has slowly stopped being an efficient cost-driver and has shifted to a more high end experience in the movie theater industry making them the only theater being so different than the rest allowing their price to rise again! As the CEO of AMC Theatres discusses in this electronic interview, AMC Theatres is shifting toward new untapped waters in order to become the first mover for, what up to this day was not allowed. AMC Theatres is possibly discussing special showings that allow texting during the movie, and have now also allowed for adults of 21 years and older to have cocktails (Alcoholic beverages and beer or wine) brought to them to drink and enjoy the movie in reclining chairs, but all this for a significantly higher ticket price. Having said that most people seem to enjoy quality over the cash and AMC Theatres has seen an increase in their revenue the past years after they had dropped for some time! |
